IV Japanese porcelain in the Imari type (Japanese Imari), Imari-yaki 伊万里焼

  1. Small plate, Japan, Arita, Edo period (1603–1868), circa 1700–1730, porcelain decorated with underglaze cobalt sometsuke 染付, overglaze iron red and gilt aka-e kinrade 赤絵金襴手, depicts a summer scene with reed blinds fluttering in the wind and vegetation.
  2. Vessel (jug?), Japan, Arita, Edo period (1603–1868), circa 1700, porcelain decorated with a relief depicting a chrysanthemum flower, underglaze cobalt sometsuke 染付, overglaze iron red and gilding aka-e kinrade 赤絵金襴手.

V Chinese porcelain in the Imari type (Chinese Imari)

  1. Small plate, China, Jingdezhen, 18th century, porcelain decorated with qīng-huā 青花 underglaze cobalt, overglaze iron red, with a depiction of a peony bush, taihu stone and a willow.

VI Chinese porcelain decorated with overglaze paints and enamels

  2. Small plate, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1730–1745, surface covered with café au lait brown glaze, decoration painted in iron red and gold in white reserves.
  3. Cup and small plate, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1725–1755, thin-walled porcelain decorated with overglaze black iron (so-called encre de Chine) and gilding, the medallions depict landscapes painted according to European patterns.
  4. Small plate, China, Jingdezhen, period of the Yongzheng Emperor’s rule (1722–1735), porcelain decorated with falangcai 珐琅彩 overglaze enamels depicting flowers, the base of the vessel is glazed in brown.

VII Chinese porcelain decorated in Europe

  1. Deep plate, China, Jingdezhen, period of the Kangxi Emperor’s rule (1662–1722), circa 1700–1722. Porcelain decorated inside with qīng-huā 青花 underglaze cobalt, outside with brown glaze polished in Europe (Amsterdam?). Floral pattern.
  2. Small plate and cup, China, Jingdezhen, 18th century, outside decorated with dark brown glaze. In Europe painted with colourful overglaze paints in patterns of bouquets and flower garlands.

VIII Tableware

  1. Small plate, China, Jingdezhen, 18th century, decorated with falangcai 珐琅彩 overglaze enamels with representations of peony flowers twigs.
  2. Dinner plate, China, Jingdezhen, 18th century, porcelain decorated with underglaze cobalt qīng-huā 青花 and a technique called ànhuā 暗花 (secret decoration). Schematic representations of plant motifs.
  3. Dinner plate, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1740–1750, decorated with falangcai 珐琅彩 overglaze enamels, gilded. The central composition shows turnip leaves and chrysanthemum flowers, while peony flowers are depicted on the edge of the plate.
  4. Dinner plate, China, Jingdezhen, circa 1745, decorated with falangcai 珐琅彩 overglaze enamels. The central decoration shows a large peony bush, the edges of the plate are richly decorated with a pattern of peony flowers, Buddhist symbols and geometric motifs.
